Lindsay Ell delivers the charm on her debut single "Trippin' On Us," a rockin' anthem about falling in love. In the newly released music video, the singer-songwriter, who channels her contemporaries Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert with ease, stars in the nearly three-minute clip.
While contemplating the meaning of her new found love interest, Ell is taking the day in bed and even strums her electric guitar. Meanwhile, her beau lets off some heat by taking a nice cool shower. With Valentine's Day still in fans' minds, "Trippin' On Us" seems to be the perfect Cupid-inspired soundtrack.
"We worked with Roman White," she revealed to NashvilleGab earlier this month of putting together the video. "He’s done lots of videos for Carrie [Underwood] and Taylor [Swift]. He’s just so, so talented. I think we made something really beautiful."
She added, "I never really acted before, but when we got the treatment, it was such an amazing idea. Roman makes such beautiful videos. We were like ‘well, let’s do this!’ It was my first stint at acting. I’m happy with how it turned out."
"Trippin' On Us," co-written with Vicky McGeHee and David Fanning, is the lead-in to Ell's yet untitled debut album, expected in the fall. "We’ve cut half of it already, and I’ll be going back into the studio in March, probably, to record the rest," she said in the same interview. "Now, it’s about narrowing down the list of songs that I want on it. We’ll see what makes the cut."
