Preschool Storytime 10:15-10:45 at Bennett Martin Library. For children ages 3, 4 and 5.

Author Event 7:30 p.m. at Doane College's Crete Campus. "Language Is Not the Frosting, It’s the Cake" is a lecture by legendary novelist Tom Robbins. Robbins will speak and answer question in Heckman Auditorium.

Nebraska Romance Writers 6:30 a.m. at Scooters 84th & Van Dorn. Yep. It's early. But if you want to sneak in some writing and brainstorming time with members of our organization, this is a great time to do it! Visitors welcome. Email us here so we can send you event information.
 
Once Upon a Time: Exploring Children's Favorite Stories 9:30 a.m-1:00 p.m. at Lincoln Children's Museum. This free celebration is a kickoff event for Week of the Young Child.
 
Bilingual Story Time (Spanish and English) 10 a.m. at Indigo Bridge Books.
 
Bess Streeter Alrich Foundation's Spring Banquet  6 p.m. at Elmwood Elementary, 400 West F Street, Elmwood, Ne. A catered dinner and program will celebrate the winners of the Aldrich short story contest. The winning stories will be published in a booklet and available for sale at the banquet. Admission is $10.00. RSVP by calling 402-994-3855 prior to April 6, 2010.
