A Lincoln County, Oklahoma homeowner reportedly used her shotgun to stop a drunk and violent intruder.
Police say that the woman awoke early Friday to hear her dog barking and an intoxicated man attempting to break in to her home. The homeowner reportedly called police, and grabbed her 16 gauge shotgun. While on the phone with 911, the home invader is said to have repeatedly tried to enter, despite the woman's warnings to say out. The intruder lobbed a chair through a window to gain entry to the home, at which point the homeowner fired one shot in self defense, fatally wounding the intruder and saving herself. The home invader has reportedly been identified as Billy Dean Riley, and Riley's wrecked car was reportedly found near the woman's home. Inside the car was Riley's sister, who was highly intoxicated and taken to the hospital, according to police.
Those who oppose gun rights should take note of cases like this, as well as countless other examples where women were able to defend themselves with gun instead of being defenseless victims. Had this woman been unarmed, she would have been at the mercy of a violent intruder. Instead, this woman exercised her constitutional right to gun ownership and self defense, and was able to save herself from a violent attack in her own home.

I love good endings.
On the 911 call, you can hear the intruder pounding on the door and the homeowner tells the dispatcher she is going to have to "kill him graveyard dead." You go, girl! Let this be a cautionary tale for all those low-class would-be bullies and home invaders. You gonna be GRAVEYARD dead!
PS--. . . .And we don't want to hear a boo-hoo story about how he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing. This home invader CHOSE to get drunk and violent and he deserved what he got.
Glad she was able to defend herself. At least he got a good warning...
DONNA,
WHAT A BRAVE WOMAN YOU ARE. I AM SO SORRY THAT THIS PERSON'S ACTIONS HAVE CAUSED YOU SUCH ANGUISH. I AM PROUD OF YOU THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO STOP THIS PERSON WHO MAY HAVE GONE ON TO HURT OTHERS HAD YOU NOT BEEN SO LEVEL-HEADED. WE WILL PRAY THAT YOUR HEART HEALS FROM THIS INCIDENT.
GINNY
Good for her. Make no mistake....almost nobody feels good about having to take another human life regardless the circumstances, but this is an example of the woman doing everything right. She called police, they were unable to respond in time and she took the necessary steps to protect and defend herself.
May God be with you & comfort you & the family of the intruder. You did what you had to do & DO NOT BE ASHAMED!
