Limited time to enter the Artist's Magazine Art Competition

If you have ever dreamed of seeing your artwork in The Artist’s Magazine, here is your opportunity. The Artist’s Magazine Annual Art Competition will be accepting submissions until May 1, 2014.

More than $25,000 in cash prizes will be awarded this year:

  • 5 First Place Awards: $2,500 each
  • 5 Second Place Awards: $1,250 each
  • 5 Third Place Awards $750 each 15
  • Honorable Mentions: $100 each

Winners’ artwork will be featured and finalists’ names published in the December 2014 issue of The Artist’s Magazine. In addition, nine finalists will be featured in the “Competition Spotlight” in The Artist’s Magazine, and twelve finalists will be featured on the website as “Artists of the Month.”

There will also be a Student/Beginner Division, in which Award Winners will be featured in the January/February 2015 issue of The Artist’s Magazine. Please see the official rules for the requirements to enter the Student/Beginner Division.

The Entry Categories this year will be Portrait/Figure, Still Life/Interior, Landscape, Abstract/Experimental, and Animal/Wildlife. See the website for a list of jurors for each category.

The competition is open to artists anywhere in the world working in traditional media. Only two-dimensional, original artwork will be accepted. Photography, digital art, and sculpture will not be considered for this competition.

There is no limit to the number of entries each artist may submit, and you may enter work in any and all categories. You can ENTER ONLINE or mail your entries on a CD. Student entries are $20 per image and all other entries are $30 per image. All winners will be notified by August 1, 2014.
