Limited engagement: Pleasure Island's Comedy Warehouse returns

See also

If you're a fan of Christa, Jake, Mary and the gang that performed regularly at Pleasure Island's Comedy Warehouse before Disney axed it, then you're in luck because the holidays have provided you a gift.

Walt Disney World's Premier Theatre (site of the previous Hunchback of Notre Dame show at the Studios) is currently the host site for the return of Disney's one and only comedy improv show.

Although some of performing cast members perform elsewhere in the resorts, during this limited engagement--running through January 5 at Disney's Hollywood Studios--you'll hear the comedians sing, play Schmepardy, Up Your Alley! and other favorite improv skits with the guests.

During its long, historic run at Pleasure Island, when the troupe made audiences guffaw sometimes through midnight (and when the shows were more geared to the adult guests), the shows run until seven in the evening and are safe for the little ears. Be sure to check your guide map and your friendly cast member when you check in because show times are subject to change, however.

It's unfortunate that we get a taste of this marvelous entertainment for the holidays only. It's like having Christmas spice latte for a few moments, and then having the brew taken away.

This writer got to experience two shows on December 22, which didn't feature the incomparable Carol Stein, who you may see playing the keys at the United Kingdom's Rose & Crown Pub. But Jamie G accompanied the talented cast that day. We didn't see Jim Roberts either.

As the show ends, you're treated to a holiday send-off, and the audio-recorded goodbye, which signals the curtain call and your cue to leave. It will bring back memories if you're a diehard Pleasure Island fan.

This walk down memory lane results in this: Go to to the show! Or, two (or more!).

And, you can get FastPasses through MyDisneyExperience app on your phone, or by going online at MyDisneyExperience.com, before you go! All you'll need is your MagicBand or the information on your pass.

And, if you forget to go on your smartphone or check online before you magically appear at the Studios, go to the FastPass+ kiosk near the entrance of the park, at the fork before you turn right to the Tower of Terror.
