Lily Collins, Avril Lavigne and Sandra Bullock all have something in common that fans aren’t going to like. Apparently, these are the top three female entertainers who all have websites about them online. The sites, while not connected to the celebrities, could be online threats that could hurt your computer if you click the wrong button. McAfee’s latest risky celebrity search list was revealed on Tuesday and might have more than a few fans pay attention as online thieves are looking to steal identities, credit card numbers and other personal details.
McAfee researched the web to find the names of famous people who are the riskiest to click when looking for pictures and details. Including all types of stars, the researched included Hollywood actors, musicians, comedians, and personalities on the Web. Shockingly people are preying on fans searching for details and pictures. Online threats, such as spyware, adware, spam, phishing, viruses and other malware were found to be connected to many sites with a celebrity focus.
So who should readers be cautious about when researching stars online? Well, besides the three female stars, the rest of the ten list has some big names including Kathy Griffin, Zoe Saldana, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Jon Hamm and Emma Roberts.
Whenever looking for a star online, make sure the source is legit and consider not clicking any pictures that might download any files. It’s also important to keep your security updated on the computer too. That way when a bad file is downloaded by accident, the computer will stop the action before it creates a harmful situation.
