Lily and the Parlour Tricks to play Mercury Lounge this Monday

Americana retro-rockers Lily & the Parlour Tricks will be headlining a show at Mercury Lounge on Monday, March 11.

The female-fronted band’s three-part harmonies between singer Lily Claire and backing singers Morgane Maulherat and Darah Golub give them a unique sound that is pleasing to the ear. It also doesn’t hurt that their backing band, drummer Terry Moore, bassist Brian Kesley, and guitarist Angelo Spagnolo, are extremely talented musicians.

Their music is only enhanced by their live show. The band’s set is always meticulously timed and planned out, from the matching outfits to the choreography. Between their retro look and sound, the band puts on a stage show that is not-to-miss.

The band released a video for their song, “Murder Song,” off of their 2011 self-titled EP, in October 2012. According to a press release, they are currently working on “a follow-up album with an all-together different kind of sound” at The Magic Shop in SoHo.

Joining them for Monday’s show will be Alice & The Glass Lake, who will be playing their first ever live set that night.

Monday night’s show starts at 9 PM with Alice & The Glass Lake, with Lily & the Parlour Tricks going on at 10 PM. Tickets are $10. You must be 21 and over to attend.
