Lily Allen suffers second miscarriage

Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. Allen and her boyfriend Sam Cooper, who announced their pregnancy in August have lost their baby.

Lily Allen's sad news is worsened by the fact that the singer also suffered a miscarriage in 2008, making this her second lost child.

“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,” Allen's rep, Murray Chalmers revealed to E! Online. "The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time," Chalmers said.

Lily Allen was 6 months pregnant at the time of her miscarriage. In 2008 Allen suffered her first miscarriage one month after announcing her pregnancy with then boyfriend Ed Simmons of the Chemical Brothers.

Lily Allen is a popular British pop star who's hits include "Not Fair." Allen was scheduled to perform at an AIDS benefit hosted by Elton John in London last week, but was forced to pull out due to a viral infection. It is unclear whether the illness had anything to do with Lily Allen's miscarriage.
