Colombian designer Liliana Montoya unveiled her "Mermaids" collection to a packed room on the closing day of Miami's Mercedes-Benz Swim Week 2015. Her first runway show featured many fall and 2015 fashion trends translated into tiny, sexy bikinis and fun flirty trinkinis.

Gold, a color that is expected to be a popular trend for fall, was the color chosen by Montoya to start the show. The first model donned a low-cut, trikini, gold bathing suit with open sides. Suits got smaller after that and the gold was replaced with another trend: animal prints. Montoya chose to venture away from traditional animal prints in the early bikinis and go instead with metallic prints in shades of purple, green and pink.

The tour of the animal kingdom turned to a visit to a tropical paradise with a collection of suits that perfectly reflected Miami and the show's sponsor, Norwegian Cruise Line. Large floral prints with orange and greens criss-crossed with leopard prints in trikinis and bikinis. Montoya then delved deeper into the floral print trend with a line of "girly" suits. Bikini bottoms featured ruffles in the back and bright floral prints.

She finished the show with solid colored bikinis, trikinis and a play on traditional suit cuts. Models all wore gold heart temporary tattoos on their right shoulder blades and gold body chains. Hair stylist Rocco Donna used "mermaid" waves on the models as a nod to the show's title. Most suits can be found currently on her web site.
