According to LA Weekly last night, the reports from TMZ have been completely false when it came to Lil Wayne breathing his last breath. This information was presented by a member of his entourage who clarified with LA Weekly, “...the coma story comprised "lies." She goes on to say, "He's sitting up, drinking water.” The identity of the person, who made the statement, has not been revealed.
TMZ, the celebrity and entertainment TV/internet news entity, known for its ‘in your face’ reporting, speculated the rappers demise. They have since removed reports of him being “read his last rights.” However, as of 8:38 pm EST last night, TMZ seems to have stuck to its original report. According to Global Grind, TMZ states, “Wayne's mother is currently on a plane flying to Los Angeles -- and we're told all major decisions about Wayne's health (including the decision to discontinue life support) will not be made until she arrives.”
The 30 year old rapper and founder of ‘Young Money’ suffered from multiple seizures, while shooting a recent video, that landed him in Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A.on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was released the next morning. After bodyguards found him unconscious in his room, he was readmitted.
When reports implied that Weezy was in a coma and in critical condition, his ‘Young Money Entertainment’ team, including Mack Maine and Birdman, came forward to confirmed that the “Bling Bling” creator was in a medically induced coma. They also want fans to not listen to the media until an official statement has been released from them directly.
This is not the first time that Lil Wayne has suffered from a seizure. Back in October of 2012, he suffered two of them. He was then placed on seizure medication by his doctor.
With all the negative press surrounding this situation, one can only hope it ends up positive.
