Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. (LIL WAYNE) 30 -- was rushed to Cedars Sinai Hospital in L.A. late Tuesday night after he was found unconscious in his hotel room. The Grammy Award winner had suffered from a seizure on Wednesday, but was released after careful evaluation. TMZ initially reported the incident – later announcing that the rapper had undergone an induced coma.
This is not the first time LiL Wayne was hospitalized for seizures, it was reported by several media outlets that the rap star has suffered from this ailment throughout his life, and unfortunately it’s a shadow that won’t disappear. LiL Wayne was accidently shot as a child, and whether the shooting incident is a direct link in his seizure attacks is something only doctors can confirm. According to TMZ, Wayne’s mother flew out to L.A. to be by her son’s side in hopes of a full recovery.
While fans are concerned with the health of their favorite artist, LiL Wayne sent out a “No Worries” tweet assuring his recovery.
