After the seventh day of rest, Lil Wayne's hospital stay ended, it's finally clear the Young Money CEO is recovering. After untruthful health scare reports from TMZ claiming the rapper had multiple seizures brought on by an overdose or codeine which led to a medically induced coma, fans waited on edge hoping to hear from Wayne's entourage or Weezy himself.
Now, on the evening of March 19, 2013, just a day after Birdman's official status update, Weezy's tweeting again in his usual way:
Watching Highly Questionable on ESPN2 & Papi got me kry'n laughing in dis b!t[#
Here's the audio for Dan Le Batard's Highly Questionable episode that got Weezy laughing and tweeting.
Right behind that message Wayne addressed all concerned about his health by tweeting from a Los Angeles hotel room:
I'm feeling a lot better and again thk u all for ur love and prayers. It was truly felt...pause
Further, Wayne's publicist confirmed that he was in fact released Monday, March 18 to CNN.
For days no response from the camp or Lil Wayne had occurred and the last tweet from Wayne's Twitter account on last Friday was questionable as to who had really sent it as it lacked the tone and flavor usually accompanying his tweets. Finally, the Birdman himself gave a live interview to Hot97's Angie Martinez assuring the public that Wayne was in fact recovering and doing great. Further, Birdman said previous claims by TMZ were absolutely untrue. See Mack Maine's new video below "Celebrate" featuring Lil Wayne and Talib Kweli just released March 17.
Glad to see you're out of the hospital and recovering well Lil Wayne, now continue to take care of yourself and get a sufficient amount of rest regularly!
