Lil Wayne OK: Condition of rapper revealed, friends do damage control (Video)

Lil Wayne is said to be OK in his latest condition after being hospitalized Wednesday for violent and uncontrollable seizures. According to a March 16 report by People magazine, his close friend and business partner -- Mack Maine -- tweeted that the rapper is doing fine.

"Wayne is alive and well," Maine wrote. "We will be releasing an official statement shortly, but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false."

A rep for Lil Wayne added: "Lil' Wayne is doing well. Thanks for your concern."

Maine denies anything reported by TMZ stating that Lil Wayne's seizures led to him being in an induced coma and breathing through tubes on life support. The celebrity news site published an updated report that the rapper's mother was on her way to the hospital with the possibility that a decision to end life support might be considered.

Lil Wayne was initially released from the hospital Wednesday after suffering seizure complications Tuesday night. His bodyguard found him unconscious on the floor only a few hours after his release. He was hospitalized again at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A..

It looks like friends of Lil Wayne are doing damage control in the midst of his worrisome condition. Is the superstar rapper really doing OK, or are his latest seizures more life-threatening than before?
