Lil Wayne is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. after suffering multiple seizures, TMZ reported March 15. The 30-year-old rapper was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night. He was then released from the hospital Wednesday but was rushed back to the hospital just hours later. One of his bodyguards found him on the floor, unconscious in his room. This time he did not stabilize.
Wayne was taken to ICU and was placed in restraints because he was shaking uncontrollably from the seizures. TMZ reports that he is currently unstable and was placed in an induced coma. He is also said to be breathing through tubes.
Meanwhile, Huffington Post is reporting that Wayne's friends are denying that he is in such a critical state and that he is recovering.
The rapper Mack Maine tweeted, however, that Wayne is home "alive and well."
Another rapper, Birdman, tweeted, "My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon."
