Lil Wayne was said to be in a critical condition in hospital tonight according to celebrity website TMZ.
The 30-year old rapper, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was taken to hospital on March 12 after suffering multiple seizures while shooting a video with Nicki Minaj, but was released the following day only for his bodyguard to find him unconscious in his room a few hours later.
It is said the singer's condition has worsened overnight and he has been placed in a medically induced coma, however friends of the Louisiana-born star say the rumors are false. Mac Maine Tweeted, "Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love" and later he also said "We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!"
It is not the first time the "Lollipop" singer has suffered seizures, as he had two episodes on a flight in October, 2012.
