Lil Wayne finally released from hospital

After being admitted into the hospital several times last week, Lil Wayne has finally pulled through and released from the hospital on yesterday; Monday, March 18 (sources: Daily News). After he suffered from several seizures last week and spending days in ICU, the rapper has been released and is very thankful to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for all they did to get him back on his feet. Lil Wayne has made it known that he plans to lay low until a full recovery. President, Young Money Entertainment, Mack Maine tweeted; “God is great.”

Last week, after the rapper was admitted into the hospital, his stomach had been pumped three times and the prescription drug codeine was found in his system. The story then broke that the rapper had possibly overdosed from the drug codeine, after a Sizzurp binge. The original story that broke last Friday was that the rapper was admitted, stomach pumped three times and placed in an induced coma. After being placed in an induced coma, according to TMZ sources, the rapper was then placed on life support. Sources had also claimed Lil Wayne’s mother was on her way to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center because she had to make a decision as to whether or not she wanted to keep him on life support or take him off.

After several days of being hospitalized and hearing many apparently very serious rumors of the rapper possibly near death, close friends to the rapper began to speak out about how angry they were that TMZ had broken such a serious rumor regarding the rapper being near death. Some of those speaking out were Drake and Birdman, who is like a father to Lil Wayne and clearly made a comment stating, “My son is okay.” Rapper and reality star TI also made some serious comments regarding TMZ’s report of Lil Wayne being near death. Apparently, the reports were very incorrect because the rapper is doing fine and on his way home and plans to lay low until he fully recovers.
