With Lil Wayne in critical condition, plenty of fans have worried about the rap star nearing his death. While there had been previous reports that the rapper was receiving his last rites, several tweets from his associates Mack Maine and Birdman seem to indicate the rap star is doing fine. Not only that, but it appears Wayne has also chimed in with positive news via the Twitter site.
According to a report from XXL Mag on March 15, not only did Weezy's friends give health updates after he had been hospitalized, but so did Wayne himself. The rapper took Twitter as of late Friday night saying, "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love." Whether or not this was Lil Wayne himself sending the tweet or an associate is unknown as of this report.
Fellow rap star and YMCMB president Mack Maine gave several tweet updates before that including:
"We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!"
He lashed out at TMZ as well, saying:
"@TMZ it's certain s--t you should not talk about or play with if u don't kno what u talking bout....don't deceive the fans or the people"
Initial reports from TMZ noted the rap star had suffered a seizure due to "consuming massive amounts of codeine" which required Wayne to be put into a medically induced coma. However, not only Mack Maine has disputed the reports, but also Weezy's mentor, Birdman, and Karen Civil.
Birdman tweeted, "My son is in good spirit...feelin much betta...be home soon.YMCMB."
