Lil Wayne banned from the NBA rumors has fans of basketball and Weezy talking this week, as MTV News reported this Tuesday, Feb. 19, that despite Lil Wayne’s recent claims that the NBA “banned” him from their events due to a hotly debated request from the Miami Heat, a rep for the basketball league has denied any claims of barring the rapper from games.
During the NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, Lil Wayne took the time for a rant at a Beats by Dre party, telling his fans that that he’s been banned from the NBA due to the Miami Heat’s urging.
Yet according to sources from the basketball league, it seems that Lil Wayne banned from the NBA rumors may have been spoken a little too soon. A spokesperson recently revealed to MTV News that Weezy wasn’t asked to not attend any All-Star Weekend Events, while NBA VP Tim Frank said that the rumors on the ban were simply “untrue.”
Attempts this Tuesday to reach a speaker for the Miami Heat or Lil Wayne's rep were unsuccessful.
