"And if you come up from under that water and there's fresh air, just breathe baby, God's got a blessin' to spare. I know the process is so much stress but it's the progress that feels the best. I came from the projects straight to success and you're next, just try, they can't steal your pride, it's inside. Then find it and keep on grindin' 'cause in every dark cloud theres a silver linin'; I know." - Dewayne "Lil Wayne" Michael Carter, Jr.

He has been dubbed “The Greatest Rapper Alive”, but even with that title, he has not been immune to legal problems, particularly with regard to marijuana possession. If that description brings to mind Rapper Lil’ Wayne, then you would be right. Dewayne “Lil Wayne” Michael Carter, Jr. is a native of New Orleans and is, without a doubt, one of the hottest entertainers of his time. His latest run-in with the law was earlier today on the way to Laredo, Texas, in the city of Falfurrias, about 100 miles from the Mexican border. TMZ and legitimate news agencies are reporting that Lil Wayne and his entourage were traveling in several tour buses when U. S. Border Patrol agents stopped the bus for a random search that uncovered marijuana on two tour buses.

Initial reports indicate that no drugs were found on Lil Wayne or any of the members of his entourage. A K-9 unit reportedly picked up the scent of marijuana outside of one of the buses. Once agents boarded the bus, the dogs located the marijuana.

The concert scheduled for tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center has been postponed. According to TMZ, no arrests have been made at this time. Lil Wayne and eleven members of his entourage are reportedly being detained at an Interior Checkpoint manned by U. S. Border Patrol.

Lil Wayne is expected to serve one year in jail for a gun possession charge in New York City on July 23, 2007.

we are behind you Lil Wayne 1000% I've been looking forward to this concert since I first heard about it. fully dressed I wait anxiously to hear that he is being sent this way to Laredo. some freakin pot aint no thing here in the border towns. they just want to mess with him because of who he is and what he represents. we are not mad at him. we are mad at this system. some personal use isn't a thing compared to all the drugs that are crossing the border as I type! man this is utter bull! the show must go on!!! if its not today, we will wait eagerly
