Lil' Kim sues lawyer is making national celebrity news headlines today, as the NY Daily News reported this Saturday, March 9, that the rapper has filed a $1 million lawsuit against a businessman and a lawyer who Lil’ Kim claims fooled her into signing several bad contracts and poor licensing agreements.
Under the headline, “Lil’ Kim sues lawyers for $1 million over bad licensing deals”, sources report that Lil’ Kim has sued Andrew Ro and Sunny Barkats over a brand name deal that she has alleged she was forced into signing with them.
The former rapper has reported that Sunny Barkats tricked her into making a business deal that gave him and his partner a large 44% stake in the company designed to license her own brand name.
Before the Lil’ Kim sues lawyer headline, Lil’ Kim added she realized she was being hoodwinked in the deal back in Dec. of 2012, yet Sunny Barkats was unwilling to change the contract.
Barkats and his partner have since said that the $1 million lawsuit is nothing less than a “frivolous” attempt to let the former rapper leave her contracts.
