For all Lil Boosie fans out there, Mr "Bad Azz" himself will be performing at the James L. Knight Center on Saturday, July 19th. At 8:00pm fans will get to see Lil Boosie along with Rich Homie Quan take the stage in Miami.
Lil Boosie was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola in early March. Now it's time for the Baton Rouge rapper to get back to what made him a star, before he went to prison in 2009 for a third-offense marijuana possession charge.
Other stops on the 28-day jaunt include Richmond, Va., Tampa, Fla., Savannah, Ga., Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and Houston's Reliant Arena, where the tour will conclude Aug. 2.
Prior to his prison bid, Boosie made his living off the road. "Before I was in jail, I was doing maybe five shows a week,” the rapper recalled in an interview with Vlad TV. "I was doing probably five shows a week, and this was for years straight. Even if I ain't drop an album for maybe two years, I was putting out a mixtape every two months, and that carried me."
Boosie vows to get that momentum going again. "I never needed help with booking a concert," he said. "My phone ain't gon' never stop ringing when it comes to concerts 'cause people wanna see me. You got some artists, people love their music, but they don't care to see them perform. People love to see Boosie perform ... I'm grateful for that."
Boosie's upcoming string of live shows are to promote a pair of albums he will release in 2014. The first of the two will be Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, due out July 15.
