[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation.(Colossians 1:15 AMP)
The most obvious quality Jesus had like God is that He healed lepers, lame, blind, tormented people and much more. That's His Father's heart ... To have us whole and at ease. Injury, suffering, mental illness wasn't His doing. Satan, the evil one, when pride overtook him, evil came rushing in. God heals. He doesn't choose to heal everything but His heart is to undo what Satan has ravaged. When He doesn't heal He's near us for comfort and mercy in a place no evil can touch.
Jesus had studied God's word pretty well by age 12. He out-answered his teachers in the Temple. Our God is wise and Jesus showed us that we should be wise as snakes, innocent as doves.
Jesus took time off from healing and teaching and went to pray, that was like God resting on the seventh day. He taught us and fed us and healed us most hours of most days. But often in the morning or evening he discretely went off and had alone time with His Father. It's how He learned to really see people's hearts. It's how He stayed at peace, tenderhearted, wise.
He said, "there is no greater gift than a man lay down His life for His friends." He called us friends. Then He gave His life. God was giving His heart to us when Jesus died. He was rescuing us at His own expense.
