Located in the back of Disney's Hollywood Studios in the Streets of America section of the park is a show unlike any other. Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show takes guests behind the scenes to let them see how car chase scenes in movies are filmed. You will see the trained drivers performing stunts and then the crew will take you behind the scenes to show you how they were able to safely pull them off.
Also known as LMA, the show features cars, motorcycles and even jet skis. First performed at Disneyland Paris, it was brought to Florida in 2005 as part of The Happiest Celebration on Earth. That took place at Walt Disney World and at the other Disney parks worldwide to celebrate Disneyland's 50th anniversary.
The show takes place on a pretend movie set. An action movie is being made and the audience gets to see the stunts as they are filmed. While the cast sets up for the next scene the previous scene is explained. There is also a short skit with Lightning McQueen from Cars. The show is loud and the action sequences are fast paced. Since in is an outdoor show it is held weather permitting. There are usually at least two shows each day. During busier times of the year there are up to four daily performances.
