Square Enix has announced more details in regards to a returning character, in addition to other information, in the upcoming “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. According to a report by Dual Shockers on Oct. 9, Oerba Dia Vanille will be coming back in the sequel.
The female character was a party member in “Final Fantasy XIII.” She also appeared for a brief period of time in the direct sequel, “Final Fantasy XIII-2.” In “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII,” she gains the ability to hear the voices of dead spirits. Oerba Dia Vanille is descried as a “saint” and is under protection of The Order.
Square Enix also announced three more costumes for Lightning. The main protagonist of the story can be seen wearing a purple dress, with a matching weapon and shield. “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” is the final game in the series that included the aforesaid “Final Fantasy XIII” and “Final Fantasy XIII-2.” Square Enix will be releasing the upcoming title, which has an official price tag of $59.99, for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles on Feb. 11 for the North American region.
