Finding vintage lamps can be easy as they are often in thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets, used furniture stores, vintage shops or online. The problem is that the lamp shades are usually missing, old, beat up, dirty or too new to fit with the style of the lamp.
Samuel accidently discovered a source for new retro inspired custom lamp shades and pendant fixtures. Located in the Mission District of San Francisco since 1996, Meteor Lights provides cool custom lamps, vintage-retro and contemporary lampshades, and modern light fixtures to the Bay Area, Northern California, the West, and beyond.
Meteor Lights could easily remake the1950’s three tiered lamp shades that graced the wild chartreuse and gold lamps of Samuel’s Los Angeles childhood living room.
