Lighter Side of Tech: 15 Creepiest Vintage ads online

Retro Comedy presents the 15 creepiest vintage ads online.  The ads are truly creepy and I find it hard to believe that there was actually a time when these ads were considered acceptable.  Makes you wonder what strange things we are doing right now, that 20-30 years later, people are going to wonder about.

Here are a few:

A free book for "chubbies" called "Free Chubby Style Book" ?  Sounds like a bad joke.  I can't imagine a a girl going up to the counter saying, "Hi, I am chubby, can I have one?"  Did anybody really do that ?  And in case you didn't notice - size 8 1/2 was "chubby"-size.

Excuse me?  There may be men who still think that way, but hopefully won't be able to say something like this in public.

My favorite!  Enough to make you vegetarian!  This is a poor pig happily committing suicide to provide you with his meat.

Hmm...

A bit too early to shave, isn't it ?

OK this one is definitely too much!  What's this, cosmetics for pedophiles ?

The chocolate definitely does not look too good

Chocolate or blood?

Fun!  Let's get guns for the whole family!

A big thanks to Retro Comedy for this laugh of the week, check out their website for the others

I must have seen these, or similar ads as a kid, without batting an eye, and now I am cringing at the same ads... does make you think doesn't it?

Cut & paste can make people sloppy, especially when the title refers to 15 ads, but I only count nine...
