Light snow and blowing snow to continue

Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Synopsis,
The region will remain on the Northern fringe of the secondary push of moisture this evening. Heaviest snows will fall between Cincinnati and Wilmington with pockets receiving up to 4 inches by 1am. Most areas North of US-35 will see little to no additional accumulation due to colder dryer air that has taken over on the Northern side of the storm, this is the cause to significant lower snow totals. Storm totals by morning should be in the 2 to 6 inch range especially South of US-35 with isolated pockets South of US -22 receiving 7 inches. Snow will taper to flurries after 2 am. Winds gusting to 30 mph at times late and early tomorrow could result in some blowing snow keeping rural roads messy and tricky to navigate. Temps will fall to near 10 by morning making salt less affective and only rebounding to the upper teens tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow night high pressure settles in allowing skies to completely clear and temps to fall to near 0 if not a bit below in a few locations. Cold air hangs on through Thursday before temps bounce back to more normal levels with highs in the 40s late week.

Long range:
Some light rain/snow could be possible Saturday with a cold front that could bring chillier air back into the region next week. Some cold surges may follow the following week with more opportunities for some snow as the winter of 2014 continues.
