Light Records artists receive three Dove Award nominations

Leading independent Gospel label, Light Records, received 3 Dove Award nominations today. The nominatons were announced at a press conference in Atlanta, GA.
 
Light Records' undisputed choirmaster, Ricky Dillard, whose early 2011 album, Keep Living, topped the charts when it was released. The album yielded the number one single, "God Is Great," which received the Dove Award Nomination for Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year. This is Dillard's second Dove Award nomination.
 
Worship leader, William McDowell also received his first ever Dove nomination for the anthem "I Give Myself Away," for Worship Song of the Year and contemporary duo and multiple Dove nominee Dawkins & Dawkins garnered a nomination for Urban Album of the Year for their return CD, From Now On.

The 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place April 19 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. The award show is produced by the Gospel Music Association (GMA); which is dedicated to celebrating the Gospel through music of all styles including Pop, Rock, Praise & Worship, Urban Gospel, R&B, Hip Hop, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Country and more.
