Light from windows and locals moves Quonset hut toward completion

There was never a moment of doubt or caution as this project moved forward from October 2012 until now.

Four months after the slab of cement was poured, the inside is taking Bill and Dave into different quarters. The windows from the sky to the eye levels bring in the much adored Arizona sunlight. The garden area in the front of the house, brings quiet moments to Bill, as he spends time taking in the view of the mountains and the stillness of the shelter above him.

In 20 degree temperatures he has been known to sit there in a tee shirt during breaks. He grew up in New York on the east coast where winters are dark, wet and dreary, and wearing only a tee shirt in 20 degree temperatures wouldn't happen. But here, under the beaming sun, under the steel Quonset hut, he can almost forget that it's February.

As the phase of installing the frames for the rooms and installing the electrical wires continues, Bill and Dave embrace the talent and experience of a local electrician, Sam, to do the job.

Bill's wife is planning the white cabinet kitchen, bathroom themes, and the main floor that will be aquamarine like the ocean in the tropics.
