Light accumulating snow tapers off this morning as weak system quickly exits (Video)

A weak and quick moving area of low pressure will slide off the mid-Atlantic coast today and bring a light accumulating snowfall to much of the region this morning. An arctic front will then cross the region into Thursday with a much cooler and more arctic air mass, but it will only be a glancing blow as temperatures will moderate back to seasonable levels into the weekend.

Today – Cloudy with light snow likely this morning, tapering off to snow showers by early afternoon and becoming mostly cloudy. High 31-35. Winds southeast around 5 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Total snow accumulation around 2 to 5 inches.
