Lifetime TV offers Nora Roberts movie marathon as Super Bowl 2012 alternative

For those Nora Roberts fans uninterested in the outcome of Super Bowl 2012, Lifetime Television has provided a day of rebroadcasts of seven made-for-television movies based on Nora Roberts' romantic suspense novels. These movies will air throughout Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.

The most recent of the Lifetime movies, Nora Roberts' Carnal Innocence, starts at 10:00 a.m. Gabrielle Anwar and Colin Egglesfied star in this 2011 adaptation of Roberts’ 1991 Bantam classic.

Nora Roberts' Blue Smoke, a 2007 Lifetime film based on Roberts’ 2005 novel, follows at 12:00 p.m. Alicia Witt, Matthew Settle and Scott Bakula have leading roles.

Nora Roberts' Angels Fall, the 2007 film that was the first of the Nora Roberts’ Lifetime movies to be produced, is slated for 2:00 p.m. Heather Locklear and Johnathon Schaech appear in this telecast of Roberts’ 2006 work.

Nora Roberts' Northern Lights (2009) is next at 4:00 p.m. LeeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian take the leads in this 2005 story of love and death in Alaska.

Nora Roberts' High Noon a 2009 version of Roberts’ 2007 novel, can be seen at 6:00 p.m. Emilie de Ravin, Cybill Shepherd and Ivan Sergei star.

At 8:00 p.m. Lifetime airs Nora Roberts' Tribute (2009). Brittany Murphy and Jason Lewis appear in this adaptation of Roberts' 2008 work.

Closing out the Super Bowl Sunday broadcasts at 10:00 p.m. is the 2007 movie Nora Roberts' Montana Sky. Adapted from Roberts’ 1996 novel, this film features Ashley Williams, Charlotte Ross and Laura Mennell.
