Following the Jan. 19, 2013, premiere of the Lifetime movie “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” starring Rob Lowe, the network will follow up with the one-hour special “Beyond the Headlines.” “Beyond the Headlines” will revisit the 2008 disappearance of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony and the case that riveted the nation.
Caylee Anthony was last seen alive on June 16, 2008, but her disappearance went unreported for 31 days. Her remains were located several blocks from her Orlando, Florida family home on Dec. 11, 2008. “Beyond the Headlines” will include true-crime footage and interviews with key players in the case such as Jose Baez and Jeff Ashton. To this date, Casey Anthony has never sat down for a one-on-one interview to explain her side of what happened to her daughter that fateful day.
Rob Lowe stars as Jeff Ashton in “Prosecuting Casey Anthony” and the movie will continue to play on the network throughout the weekend.
