There is nothing like the feeling of a new beginning where the start of something new is exciting, the adrenaline is pumping through your veins and the visions of success are clear as crystal. The sensations of all possibilities are endless and optimism fills the heart and soul.
Many will make New Year’s resolutions from losing weight to writing a book or even starting a new business. While New Year’s resolutions are the norm across the board, take it a step further and challenge yourself to a Lifestyle Resolution instead? The idea of making a lifestyle Resolution that lasts not only for the New Year, but for the remainder of one's life. This approach will have more of a lasting effect by viewing the change as a lifestyle change rather than a change just for the New Year.
Keeping the faith and not losing focus when life issues occur is difficult when trying to make lifestyle changes that are to be permanent. When life issues occur, and they will, keep in mind that it is ok to occasionally revise your plan such as missing one or two days of exercising, not writing a few pages for your book or business plan. This is because any day there is breath in one's body is a great day to start fresh and new with a clean slate. Lifestyle changes are for life. Get up, get going and keep moving forward.
