The Outfest film festival opened on Thursday to a sold out crowd with a delightful rom-com, Life Partners. Directed by Susanna Fogal and written by Fogel and Joni Lefkowitz, Life Partners examines the relationship between best friends Sasha (Leighton Meester, "Gossip Girl") and Paige (Gillian Jacobs, "Community").

The two decide, as they hurtle towards the end of their 20's that braving the world of internet dating will be better that spending the rest of their lives sitting on a couch watching America's next Top Model together. While Sasha contends with the advances of an over zealous Trace, (Kate McKinnon, "Saturday Night Live"), Paige settles in with Tim (Adam Brody, "The O.C.") who just might be the one. Can their friendship survive with a man in the middle?

With an outstanding supporting cast including Gabourey Sidibe, Abby Elliot and Julie White, Life Partners gives us a hilarious look at dating in L.A. and reminds us that gay or straight we're all in for a bumpy ride.

Don't worry if you missed it. The film has already been picked up for distribution. But if you don't want to miss any other great films, panels or parties get your tickets here.

Outfest is ten days of world-class LGBT films, discussions and parties. Over 160 films are programmed and reach a global audience of up to 40,000 attendees annually. Venues include: The Directors Guild of America, The Ford Amphitheatre, Harmony Gold and the Red Cat theatre downtown.
