Barry Kooda is well known for his quirky sense of humor and the "Open Carry Guitar Rally" has picked up substantial steam in the past few days. In typical Texas fashion, someone has taken an issue that is raising the ire of the liberal mainstream media - notably the open carry issue of rifles in big box stores - and put a twang spin on it to turn it into something totally and uniquely Texan! And you know things just got real when Huffington Post comes calling – and that is just who Barry was contacted by today.

Wild About Harry's v2.0 is is coming along about as quickly as ice cream melts in a refrigerator -- some progress but not nearly as fast as lip-smacking Deep Ellumites / Downtowners would like it! The new location is opening in the former digs for Theo's Diner at the corner of Hall and Commerce. Rumor has it that WAH will be handling a lot of their mass production at the new facility while also taking care of the ice cream cravings of the locals. The targeted opening date is sometime summer 2014.
