Life, Libby, and the Pursuit of Happiness is a 334 page book written by Hope Lyda.
This is an interesting book of sorts as the characters are not typical. They are not ordinary and each one has issues of his/her own. Libby is the main character and she has to make one of the biggest decisions of her life throughout the book: Does she move up the corporate ladder by keeping dishonest secrets or let it all go and pursue true happiness for herself?
Go through this journey with Libby as she tries to discover herself. Does she want to live an honest life and give up her job or does she want to keep her job and enable dishonest dealings?
My interpretation was that there was a sense of darkness or gothic tones through the novel. It seemed as if Libby did not know who she truly was. She seemed to struggle with the type of image she wanted to portray.
Take the journey and read it for yourself. You may portray it a totally different way.
