In what is getting to be a fall tradition in Massachusetts, the Life is good festival this year is scheduled for September 21 and 22 at Prowse Farm in Canton. The two-day festival aims promises to be a lively event filled with music and events designed for families. Musicians Jack Johnson as well as Daryl Hall & John Oates will be among the headliners this year.
Festivities will include a number of kid-friendly events — a “Good Kids” zone will serve as the hub for kids’ entertainment, and audiences can look forward to performances by YO GABBA GABBA!, Josh & the Jamtones and Recess Monkey. From the hammock zone to yoga, arts and crafts as well as the Trailside Museum Nature Show, there is something for everyone.
Of course, behind all the fun and optimism is a serious purpose. The festival will raise funds for The Life is good Kids Foundation. “Each year for one very special weekend, we see music fans of all ages come together at the Life is good Festival for a positive purpose,” said Bert Jacobs, co-founder of Life is good, in a press release about the event. “By raising more than one million dollars for the Life is good Kids Foundation, the Festival celebrates the impact we can have in the lives of kids who really need it.”
