With the recent controversy over Manti Te'o's girlfriend situation, the Lance Armstrong issue and a host of others the one underlying theme here is that they lied.
Not that, that is news but it does raise an issue of morals. Where are they and how did we get so far from them, and are there any morally right people left in the world? It would appear at first glance, no! And how easy is it for people to lie?
The Bible says that a lying tongue shall be condemned. And that your sin shall find you out. the fact is the devil has been deceiving people since the Garden of Eden, he speaks lies to us that God won't mind if we eat that fruit, he won't mind if you sleep with such and such, he won't mind if you take take, he won't mind if you make up a girlfriend, the list goes on and on.....
It's just that sometimes the flesh is weak and we give in to the lies....but as you can see by these recent events their lies came to light and found them out. But really who makes up a girlfriend, and carries it out to the extent that Manti did?
As dads we are to raise up our children to tell the truth, respect others and such. When did things become so screwed up? We really need to stand up and take a stand against immoral behavior. whose with me?
