The recently announced Lichdom RPG will not be released on the current generation consoles. As for now, this will be a specific release on PC. According to the Chief Executive Officer at the developer Xaviant, Michael McMain states that they are exploring options for a next generation release.
The ultimate goal is to see Lichdom available on many different platforms. Our initial release is self-published so we focused on PC only.
McMain explains the reasoning behind skipping the current generation of consoles
Current-gen consoles are something we elected not to support. Our world-size, enemy count and character fidelity led us to focus on machines that have a greater capability than these devices allow.
Lichdom will be a RPG that draws influence from Borderlands, Dark Souls, and the Diablo series. The game will focus on casting spells, and judging the success on PC first will impact the decision to go next-gen.
