Libyan plane crash at Tripoli airport kills at least 100; 1 known survivor is a child (video)

Wednesday, an Afriqiyah Airways flight crashed in Libya at the Tripoli airport killing at least 103 passengers and crew; one person a 10-year-old boy survived. The Airbus 330 reportedly crashed on landing at the Tripoli airport after a flight from Johannesburg, Africa. 11 crew members were aboard the flight. Visibility at the time was reported as poor. 

Libya's Transport Minister Mohamed Zidan said that the 10-year-old Dutch child was immediately hospitalized after the crash. See the video below for scenes of the crash site.

"The little boy has now come out of surgery, he was treated for fractures suffered during the crash," a Dutch Foreign Ministry spokesperson told ABC News.

"We hope our colleagues will be able to see him soon to establish his identity," she said.

In a press conference Wednesday morning, the Dutch Prime Minister, Jan Peter Balkenende said: "Ladies and gentlemen, this morning we were shocked to hear there was a plane crash in Libya. As you heard, 103 passengers have died. We also heard this morning that several dozens of them are Dutch citizens."
