Library of Alexandria confirmed for Masters Edition 4 (ME4)

The awe-inspiring font of knowledge Library of Alexandria has been confirmed in the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Online Masters Edition 4 (ME4) release.  Enjoying a longstanding legacy as one of the strongest cards in Magic: The Gathering history, Library of Alexandria will definitely have ME4 packs flying off the digital shelves.

Spoiled over at Classic Quarter, Library of Alexandria has incredible play value and serious nostaliga factor.

Library of Alexandria

Land - Rare

T: Add 1 to your mana pool

T: Draw a card. Activate this ability if you have exactly seven cards in hand.

Library of Alexandria is a land that reliably allows you to draw a card each and every turn.  It was extremely commonplace in Type One (when such a format existed) to play Library early and just coast to victory on the additional "free" card every turn.

In current MTGO Library of Alexandria is destined for incredible amounts of play.  The reprint list not applying to non-redeemable Magic: The Gathering cards, there is every chance that we'll see cards of this quality in the future.  If they're willing to throw Library of Alexandria out there, the Power Nine are probably at least being discussed in some fashion.

Look for the lexicon laden Library of Alexandria to research up some card advantage when Masters Edition 4 releases on December 13th, 2010.
