Liberty squeezes past Tarkington 3-2

The Liberty Lady Panthers won their tenth game of the season Tuesday night with a come from behind win against the Tarkington Lady Horns.

Liberty trailing 1-0 tied the game in the fourth. Kurstin Martin reached on an error to start the inning and two outs later scored on an error folling a single off the bat of Alicia Vanek.

Kaylee Parker homered on the tenth pitch of her lead-off at bat in the fifth to give Liberty a 2-1 lead. One batter later, Kaitlyn Slack hit a 3-0 pitch over the centerfield fence and a 3-1 lead.

Tarkington got one back in the bottom of the fifth but it was as close as they would get.

Liberty starter Andee Geter scattered three hits through four plus innings of work for the win.

The Lady Panthers close out their three game road trip on Friday Mar. 22 in Splendora with first pitch scheduled for 6:30p.m.
