Kaylee Parker and Kurstin Martin had four hits a piece to back Andee Geter's three hit shutout pitching leading the Liberty Lady Panthers to an impressive 16-0 shutout win over the Shepherd Lady Pirates.
Liberty continued its hot hitting pounding out 19 hits in just four innings of play.
Kaylee Parker who tied Geter for the team lead in rbi's with four against Shepherd put the Lady Panthers on the board in the first with a two run triple. Kurstin Martin scored the third run of the first scoring on a single by Haley Walker.
Liberty scored three more times iin the second on run scoring hits by Parker, Martin, and Kaitlin Slack.
In the fourth, the Lady Panthers sank the Pirates with a ten run outburst. Allison Meche and Parker delivered back to back doubles before Slack hit a two run shot to make it 9-0. Later with the bases loaded, Geter hit a grandslam scoring Katie Harris, Haley Walker, and Sarah Herrington making it 13-0. Liberty went on to score three more times in the fourth making the final 16-0.
The Liberty bats crushed eight extra base hits including six doubles, a triple and two home runs. It is the third time in the last four games that the Lady Panthers have recorded ten or more hits.
Liberty has won four of their last five games as they improved to 9-8.
The Lady Panthers will next take the field on Tuesday Mar. 12 in Coldspring. First pitch is slated for 6:30p.m.
