Liberty Ross has (finally) filed for divorce from Rupert Sanders. Months after Sanders' affair with actress Kristen Stewart, Ross has taken the initiative to end her marriage. On Jan. 25, PEOPLE Magazine confirmed that Ross filed papers in Los Angeles on Friday. Sanders has already filed a response to the divorce petition.
According to the documents, Ross is seeking joint custody of the couple's two children, spousal support, and money for her attorney fees. Sanders is also seeking joint custody of the kids but he wants to "split" the attorney fees. Given the time frame, the two will likely be able to come to an agreement soon.
Liberty Ross didn't file for divorce right away after learning about her husband's affair. Many believed that she would leave Sanders, but instead it appeared as though she was giving him a chance to make things up to her. Either that, or she wanted to wait until the hype died down before she officially ended things. Many people aren't surprised at all by the news, and many are happy that Ross is standing on her own two feet in this matter.
