In a post on its Facebook page on Tuesday, the Libertarian Party announced the creation of the Libertarian Party Youth Caucus. The caucus' Facebook group tasked with organizing the caucus lists its mission statement as follows:
Representing the youth movement in the Libertarian Party. Dedicated to showing young liberty activists that their home is in the Libertarian Party, and to bringing that youthful passion for organization building and effective political action to the party.
While similar organizations exist such as Young Americans for Liberty and Students for Liberty, the Youth Caucus of the Libertarian Party will function specifically to represent the youth of the Libertarian Party. As the caucus organizes it is being overseen by Arvin Vohra of the Libertarian National Committee, and officers will be elected in the coming weeks.
