LOLA, the Ladies of Liberty Alliance, have launched a fundraising effort to get their organization off the ground and into full pursuit of their primary goal, as stated on their website: "Conspiring to attract libertarian women into the movement one activist at a time."
They're doing it with a 16-month "Activism" calendar featuring, as LOLA's Executive Director Allison Gibbs put it, "the movements most intelligent as well as beautiful women."
LOLA granted the Libertarian News Examiner an exclusive pre-release peak at The Ladies of Liberty Alliance 2009-2010 calendar.
"We hope to expand our membership by selling calendars, distributing literature and attending
conferences," says LOLA Outreach Director Megan Duffield. "We can't do that though without a boost from our allies."
"We're trying to fundraise and make $2,000 by the end of the month," adds Stacy Litz, a LOLA activist and Vice President of the Drexel University Student Liberty Front.
The group's mission is to "build a community of liberty-minded women who are empowered to achieve their individual goals in the fight for freedom" where members are "the counterparts to the Ron Pauls, the Lew Rockwells, the Peter Schiffs, the Jeff Frazees, and the countless others who are taking a stand."
LOLA sees their role in the freedom movement as educational, training women "in every aspect of libertarian activism, administration and education."
Their full mission statement, calendar of events, and other information are located on the LOLA website, and the Ladies of Liberty calendars are available from the donation page.

I went up to LOLA's web page with the idea of making a donation and receiving a calendar, but was thrown into confusion as there are FIVE donation boxes. I clicked the separate link for the Calendar, but this required me to establish a Google account and enter charge card information BEFORE they would say how much tax and shipping would be. Clean up your act, girls, and make your web page comprehensible! Also, please provide a "Contact Us" link.
A worthy endeavor! I wish the Ladies success!
Adaptune: we are still just getting this site set up, but we are working with what we have right now. I am sorry for the confusion, but we are still working on adding to and fixing the site.
