Fewer than 48 hours after the tragic attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the Arizona bloodbath has become a political issue inspiring the very vitriol that both staunch liberals and conservatives say may have inspired the shooting to begin with.
According to many Sarah Palin supporters, the liberal smear machine is trying to make it sound like Gabrielle Giffords' alleged shooter Jared Lee Loughner was a right-wing conservative.
Conversely, many Democrats are outraged by accusations that Loughner was a liberal extremist.
On Monday, the heated political rhetoric escalated to a new level as allegations spread like wildfire across both the mainstream media and the blogosphere as to the political groups most likely to blame for prompting Loughner's actions.
A number of celebrities that were otherwise completely unconnected to Saturday's murderous rampage have now found their names tossed into the discussion. Why? Because, according to some Sarah Palin supporters, the likes of Keith Olbermann, Katie Couric, and even Jay Leno are part of the so-called "Liberal Smear Machine" responsible for vilifying conservative leaders like Sarah Palin.
But does Jay Leno really belong on the list simply because of the jokes he's made at Palin's expense?

Katie Couiric? Because she asked a question Ding Dong Palin couldn't answer? Just curious but in the event this ridiculous human being should ever be POTUS, and lets just say she made a bad choice. Would she face her people or send us messages through Twitter, Facebook or Glenn Beck. People....WAKE UP. Can you even comprehend how inept she is. When the going gets tough the pit bull in lipstick turns into a toy poodle hiding in a corner piddling herself. Real leader there kids.

Jay Leno?? That guy is a centrist if not even a bit to the right if you're basing it on his late night jokes.
Shock jocks continue spewing hate speech 24 hours daily.
Why not build up your candidates and your party on the airwaves. Tell us how wonderful they are. Tell us what they will actually do to improve the economy and the air we breathe. Tell us why your candidate is better than the alternatives.
Please don't have us looking through the scope of a rifle at any candidate.. It is irresponsible at the least.
If you do not understand this line of reasoning, you may need to rethink your relationship with Jesus. Talk to your pastor about it. Always ask yourself "what would Jesus do?"...........
Be honest and answer these questions.
Would Jesus spew hatred?
Would Jesus depict anything by simulating looking through the scope of a rifle?
