Libcon asks for 2013 logo submissions

Libcon, the anime/gaming/comic convention run by the Chandler Public Library, is asking for artists of all kinds to submit their ideas for the events' 2013 logo.

The convention has been confirmed for its new date of April 6 and for the third year running, is hosting a contest for logo submissions.

The contest officially kicked off on January 1st and will run until the 28th of the month. Artists ages 12-18 are encouraged to incorporate the date and name of the convention, as well as the Chandler Public Library title into the logo in a way that best communicates the conventions' variety of tastes.

The convention itself is known for hosting all kinds of pop culture fans including cosplayers, gamers, otaku, and sci-fi lovers, just to name a few. Submissions can be either delivered in person to any Chandler Public Library location or via e-mail.

The grand prize winner will not only have their hand drawn logo featured on all press materials for the convention, but also net themselves a $50 gift card. For more information, visit the Libcon Facebook page.
