British actress Natasha Richardson — familiar to American moviegoers as Lindsay Lohan's mother in "The Parent Trap" — suffered a traumatic brain injury during a ski accident near Montreal on Monday and is in critical condition at Sacre Coeur hospital.
Irish Central broke the story and Canada's CTV News added that Natasha's husband, Liam Neeson, left tghe "Chloe" film set in Toronto to rush to her side. His rep said in a statement:
Liam Neeson left the Toronto set immediately to fly to Montreal upon news of his wife’s accident. We do not have any details at this time but we hope for the best and our thoughts and prayers are with Natasha and Liam and their family.”
Natasha is Vanessa Redgrave's daughter. She and Liam have been married since 1994 and have have two sons, Micheal Richard Antonio Neeson (13) and Daniel Jack Neeson (12).
Natasha has a long list of credits onstage and in film. She won a Tony award for her performance in "Cabaret."
