Liam Neeson Opens Up About Natasha Richardson's Tragic Death
It's been nearly two years since Natasha Richardson's untimely death, but her husband Liam Neeson still relives those moments. The actor recently opened up about the ski accident that lead to his wife's tragic death.
"I feel so bad for Liam Neesson. RIP Natasha Richardson," tweeted one Cleveland resident upon reading Neeson's Esquire Magazine article. Neeson recalls rushing to Richardson's bedside after hearing about her accident.

"I walked into the emergency -- it's like seventy, eighty people, broken arms, black eyes, all that -- and for the first time in years, nobody recognizes me," he told the magazine. "Not the nurses. The patients. No one... So I went outside. It's freezing cold, and I thought, What am I gonna do? How am I going to get past the security?"
"I'll tell you, I was so f--king grateful -- for the first time in I don't know how long -- to be recognized," he says. "And this one, she says, 'Go in that back door there.' She points me to it. 'Make a left. She's in a room there.' So I get there, just in time. And all these young doctors, who look all of eighteen years of age, they tell me the worst. The worst."
Neeson's Opens Up About Mourning Richardson's Death
While Liam claims he dealt with Natasha's death by running away to work, he couldn't escape the times when he was alone with his thoughts. "It hits you in the middle of the night -- well, it hits me in the middle of the night," he revealed. "I'm out walking. I'm feeling quite content. And it's like suddenly, boom. It's like you've just done that in your chest."
Natasha Richardson died due to head injuries suffered from a fall during a sky trip. Liam Neeson was away on location when he got the news that his wife was in the hospital. He rushed to her side, but it was too late. The damage was done. Soon after Richardson's death, the lights on Broadway were dimmed for the fallen star. One of Natasha's most well known roles was playing the character of Lindsay Lohan's mother in the movie the shot her to fame, "The Parent Trap."
